When you watch Home Alone as an adult, it hits different.
As a kid you wish you had that kind of opportunity to trash/defend your home, and wonder if you'd be clever enough to do it.
As an adult, you wish the scenes with Old Man Marley didn't make you cry. You also wonder how dead Harry and Marv were at the end of the day.
The kid in you cheers when Kevin gets to wave at Harry and Marvs' sneering faces as they're trundled into the cop car.
The adult in you knows they left in separate ambulances.
And Old Man Marley makes you weep when he waves at Kevin and he's greeting his son and granddaughter.
