Die, Comma, Die!

Yesterday, I declared a war on commas. It felt good. I’m sure I overuse commas myself, but in the case of a document I was editing, they were exceptionally egregious. That’s what happens when you cobble different documents together using the “track changes” feature in Word, which is excellent in its own way but has a real nasty habit of hiding diminutive punctuation marks. Can’t count how many times I’ve had to deal with a double period. And the Ankh-Morpork Society of Green Grocer’s wouldn’t much like me, either, because I feel the same way about apostrophes.
