A red-letter day: Isaac learns to ride his bike without training wheels.
To put it curtly, Isaac had to learn to ride his bike without training wheels, because he broke his training wheels. At first, when I saw them all splayed out, I thought some bigger kid at school had borrowed Isaac's bike and taken it for a spin. So I fixed the wheels. Then I saw him ride, and saw that his own tremendous bulk was making the wheels splay out. So I took them off and threw them away. Luckily, he was primed to learn to ride without the training wheels, a task he accomplished in just an hour of practice. Yay!
